N1 Oil cooler Kit

It’s always a struggle to get oil temps under control on the FK8 type R. We trialed a couple of kits from Japan plus talking with our customers running various kits and found most wont work with the drive sensing radars, especially the kits the sit in the lower passenger side grill, as that’s where one of the drive sensing radars sit on all NZ New vehicles, and will cause fault light for the collision warning system and will cause troubles at WOF time.

As a result, we have designed our own oil cooler to specifically work with NZ/Australian delivered vehicle that works with the drive sensing systems and provides excellent cooling properties for stable oil temps, even during heavy track use.

Kit contains:

High capacity dual pass cast oil cooler (rubber mounted to reduce harmonics and fatigue)

Greddy/Trust thermostatic sandwich place, with additional temp & pressure ports for optional sensors)

-10AN Aeroflow fittings

5000PSI rated PTFE Oil line (not Perishable rubber braid)

Turbosmart Kompact Supersonic Blow Off Valve

A direct-fit high-performance replacement for the factory plastic unit, the Turbosmart Kompact BOV suits the new generation Honda VTEC Turbo engines found in the Civic Type R . It can handle high boost levels and is made of billet aerospace-grade aluminium with high-temperature seals. 

Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler Kit

The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler with a new competition core , which was developed especially for the requirements of the Honda Civic Type R FK8. This high-performance core offers an 91 % larger frontal surface and 140 % more core volume compared to the stock intercooler.

The aluminum cast endtanks were designed in CAD and optimized in CFD simulations (for an ideal internal airflow). An incorporated air baffle inside the intercooler inlet ensure a uniform filling of the intercooler. The result is a excellent cooling property with a minimal back pressure. The core is very light and provides the adjoining components enough air flow by using a specially prepared air baffle. This kit is perfect for Street & racing use and has an anti-corrosion powder coating with perfect heat-conducting properties that protects the WAGNERTUNING intercooler from all environmental influences.

TPD Stainless downpipe

Through testing various brands of downpipes on our dyno including exhaust temperature distribution we found inherent problems in many design’s of Downpipes. Taking these results we have developed our own downpipe which takes a smoother ramping angle off the turbo with a 4” inlet tapering down to 3.5” then to 3 “ to prevent any stalling of exhaust gas. Through this design we have found an improvement in turbo spool of around 300-400rpm over competing brands..

Includes a High-flow 100cell motorsport catalytic converter to meet New Zealand vehicle warrant of fitness standards.

Note: Retains factory heat shield but some minor trimming around the O2 bung location is required.
